New Surface Mount Low Dropout Regulator In Miniature Flip Chip Package Mt. Prospect, IL – TOKO America has introduced the TK718xxCB series of low dropout voltage regulators which features low noise, low quiescent current, reverse bias protection, active High ON/OFF control, and highly accurate line and load regulation in a single device. Its miniature 5-Bump Flip Chip (FC-5) package is designed to minimize board space. Targeted for use in battery powered systems, its very low dropout voltage of 75mV (typical) at 50mA load current, 0.0 (typical) standby current, and low quiescent current (63mA) allows for longer operation in portable products such as wireless communication devices, calculators, musical instruments, PDAs, radio controlled systems, test equipment and electronic toys. Specifically, the TK718xxCB has an operating voltage range of 2.1 to 14 volts, output current of 200mA (peak 320mA), and is available in the following standard output voltages: 2.0, 2.8, 2.9, 3.0 and 3.3 volts.
