Background
Toko Inc. was founded in 1955 as Toko Radio Coil Laboratory. Less than one year later, we introduced the industry's first intermediate frequency transformer (IFT) coil, helping make the transistor radio possible. Toko's widespread electronics technology spans many fields of technical expertise, and has allowed a diversification into integrated circuits, magnetics, electro-ceramics, RF and power module design as well as video and medical systems. As additional products were introduced, the company changed its name to Toko Inc. in 1964.
Toko Group
The Toko Group is a multinational manufacturer of electronic components,
subassemblies, and systems with worldwide operations encompassing 19 sales and
service centers and 12 manufacturing and R&D facilities. Employing over 9,000
people, Toko is one of the world's largest manufacturers of miniature RF/IF
inductor and filter products.
Toko America
Toko America, the North American subsidiary of Toko Inc., was established in
New York City in 1965. After relocating the North American headquarters to the
Chicago area in the late seventies, the company expanded to include two
regional and three satellite sales offices. In addition, our Colorado design
center, develops new semiconductor products for Toko's worldwide market.
Toko America enjoys a long established reputation for supplying high quality electronic components to the country's largest and most innovative electronics companies. Toko America is striving to provide leading edge components and assemblies to the communications, consumer electronics, computer/networking, and automotive electronics industries.
